Hong Kong Disneyland is truly the blessing of the Hong Kong theme park industry.

In the past, there was only Ocean Park as the theme park. Lai Yuen was more like a carnival. It used to be owned by a TV (link to HK TV page) station which has been changing ownership throughout the years.

In HK Disneyland, seeing Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto is a dream to almost every child.  The day-time parade makes that dream came true.

If it was not because of the Hong Kong Disney, the monopoly of Ocean Park would never end or stimulate the competition between these 2 which gives us all the benefits and fun.

Both Disneyland and Ocean Park Hong Kong are very different. After our latest visits, I realized that a good planner is definitely necessary. You need to have different strategies for visiting either one of them, too.

(I know, I know... I sound like talking about business. But you do need some strategies to get a bigger bang for your buck)

Since it's opening in 2003, it expanded a lot. Although it is not nearly as big as Ocean Park Hong Kong, not to mention any Disney in the world, it can take up 2 days of your time in visiting it easily.

One great thing about Hong Kong Disney is that it is super affordable. Unlike any other Disney in the world which will use up your saving just in the blink of your eyes.

As I said earlier that it takes up a full day trip, dining in the theme park is almost a must. The chances for you to bring your own food to dine in there are very low.

During our tour in this theme park, we tried out a couple of their restaurants. As a foodie, how could I not express my opinions?

The attraction "It's A Small World" is pretty much a MUST in every Disney in the world, so as in Hong Kong.

Of course, I will share the experiences of Hong Kong Disneyland attractions. I tried to put them in (our visiting) chronological order:

1. Main Street USA
2. Adventureland
3. Tomorrowland
4. Fantasyland
5. Grizzly Gulch
6. Toy Story Land
7. Mystic Point (coming soon - link to Hong Kong Disneyland Mystic Point page) - we were in the theme park while this section was under construction. 

It opened 8 months later.  We did have a peek of how it looked like.  At first, we all thought that it would be a haunted house.  Well, close enough what the theme is.

The staff in Hong Kong Disneyland keep handing out these stickers while we were visiting.  My little one was in H.E.A.V.E.N....

My family like the staff and decoration in Disneyland better. They said that their staff are more courteous and down-to-earth. One of my sisters said that the park made big improvement since its opening. 

In my opinion, Disney is just Disney.  Maybe Donald Duck put on a Chinese costume which looked a bit different.

Throughout our day in the theme park, staffs kept handing out Disney characters stickers and candies for celebrating Halloween. Men...didn't it make my son happy.

Although it has longer opening hours, families with children could barely complete the full visit of all the attractions.

Since we went with the little one, we realized that something specially planned ahead of time would help us to save a lot of time. Therefore, a planner of Hong Kong Disney is available for you.
