1) Transportation - 4 (Less than 10 minutes of walk from Yau Ma Tei MTR station. The building is surrounded by bus stations)

2) Spacious - 4 (Even the smallest rooms are comparatively spacious than any other cheap hotels in Hong Kong.)

3) Quiet Surrounding Area - 3 (Not as crowded as its next door district, Mongkok. The side facing Gascoigne Road is much quieter at night than the side facing Nathan Road.)

4) Easy for Shopping - 3 (Either going to the Women's Market in Mongkok or some high end malls in Tsim Sha Tsui, it still takes you at least 15-20 minutes of walk if you can walk through the crowd smoothly.)

5) Easy for Eating - 3 (The restaurants in the hotel are very nice. But stepping out of the building, you don't have a lot of choices. If you are picky, it will be 15-20 minutes walk.)

6) Continental Breakfast - 0

I passed by this mid-price hotel every day in the first 2 years of my adult life after graduating just because of going back and forth to work .

The entrance always made me feel like walking in the amphitheater. In my opinion, the hotel building is a landmark because it is located at the Y of 2 busy roads surrounded by old commercial and residential buildings. It really stands out.

If you want to experience the Women's Market, feel free to check out Temple Street at night. You can find gadgets and fortune tellers. But there are not many activities during the day. It reminded me the "flea market" where Shun Tak Centre is currently located which is right across the street of the Hong Kong Western Market.

If you expect to shop a lot that your luggage definitely can't hold everything, the post office is right across the street. You can buy all your package kit there, pack and send with super reasonable postage and quality service. If you can wait for your parcel, send it by sea which will be 1/3 of the price of air mail although it will take 3 months of waiting.

Are you a movie lover? Broadway Cinematheque is 5 minutes walk away. It shows alternative movies that there are only handful of this kind of cinemas in Hong Kong. When they first opened, my sister, Bonnie, and I went there. We love it.

This Cheap Hotels Hong Kong Kowloon is just a few blocks away from Peninsula Hotel Hong Kong and the Intercontinental Hong Kong.

It is about 10 minutes away from the nearest, Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. But it's pretty much close to everything else, such as Hong Kong Science Museum, check out our Hong Kong Museums page, some great fashion stores and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. If you come during the winter, you are right in the area where you can appreciate the Christmas lighting and the Chinese New Year lighting.

Nobody will miss these 2 great events, including Hong Kong People. I'm always so proud of the lighting in Hong Kong. You may claim that this is the most beautiful city in the world after this tour.

This Cheap Hotels Hong Kong Kowloon is about 15 minutes of walk to the nearest, Tsim Sha Tsui, MTR station. A few blocks away from the Ramada Kowloon Hotel Hong Kong. So, it's pretty much close to everything and literally access the same thing like Ramada.

But the location is definitely quieter.

Although it is listed as one of the Cheap Hotels Hong Kong Kowloon, it is right next to the Peninsula Hotel Hong Kong (One of the Luxurious Hotels in Hong Kong and in the World). So, you can imagine that it has the same location advantages as if you were to stay in the 5-star hotel next door. It is right across from the Hong Kong Museum of Art and within walking distance from the big shopping malls, check out our Hong Kong Shopping page.

I used to go to their restaurant to have lunch while I was working in the office building across the street. They have very reasonable prices and good food.

Make sure to check out the Christmas lighting, Hong Kong Chinese New Year lighting and the Chinese New Year fireworks if you happen to travel over there during the winter time.

To watch the fireworks, nothing is better than staying indoor and look over the Hong Kong Victoria Harbour. Get a room with harbor view will save you a lot of headache for this event.
